Images of Hope 2010 Surpasses Expectations
March 10, 2010
Year after year, Images of Hope continues to grow in success and this year was no exception when on March 5th at Hotel Arts, 225 people gathered to raise nearly $80,000 for the Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund. Funds raised at this event help people challenged emotionally and financially to get the assistance they need to pay for IVF and other fertility treatments.
The evening featured excellent live auction items such as tickets to the Oprah Winfrey show, a guest appearance by Bernard Callebaut himself, the unveiling of the new Generations of Hope website, and sales of fifth anniversary commemorative jewelry. An emotional video presentation and the centerpiece of photographs and stories reminded us all why Generations of Hope exists – to put the hope of a child within reach for as many people as possible.
This event is only made possible with the help of our volunteer organizing committee who together dedicated hundreds of hours; the 2010 committee included Chandra Hoffman (Chair), Debby Brown and Stacey Slone (Images and Stories), Pam Vinge, TJ Matishak and July Campbell (Auction), Erin Livingston (Marketing), Christy Kennedy (Treasurer), and Leanne Malhiot (Logistics). Volunteer coordinator Kathy Litke was instrumental in gathering volunteers to help on event day; it takes many people coming together to make this evening a success.
The success of this event is also thanks in large part to our generous donors and sponsors, talented photographers who donate their time and the families who share their stories. Thank you to everyone who contributed; we cannot do this without you!
With the fifth Images of Hope behind us, we already look towards 2011 – mark your calendar for March 11th!
