Our Pride and Joy!

When my husband and I decided we would like to have children, we faced many painful and agonizing obstacles in reaching our goal.

It all started when our OBGYN informed us that he had exhausted all measures in assisting us to fulfill our dream. He referred us to the Regional Fertility Program where our first course of action was to try fertility pills. After nine agonizing months, we were still not successful, each month bringing more disappointment and fear that we might not actually achieve our dream of becoming parents.

Our second attempt was to try fertility pills with IUI for another three agonizing months, with still no success. Now we were emotionally drained and exhausted. We decided it was time to take a much-needed break from any further treatment.

We did eventually return to the clinic, and decided to go for "the big guns" and head right for IVF. We started acupuncture treatments before any IVF treatment commenced and continued the treatment throughout the process. Then, after over five years of some ups and many downs, we received the amazing news that we were expecting a baby!

On November 5th, 2004, we welcomed our pride and joy Brody exactly one week early, but truly right on time.
